SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 20
(By Senators Humphreys, Grubb, Walker and Wehrle)
Congratulating DuPont High School football team for winning its
second consecutive Class AAA state football championship.
Whereas, In 1992, the DuPont High School football team won
its first state AAA championship in the school's history; and
Whereas, In 1993, the DuPont High School football again won
the Class AAA state football championship; and
Whereas, The DuPont High School football team ended the 1993
regular season with nine wins and only one loss; and
Whereas, Head coach Dick Whitman and the members of his
coaching staff take great pride in leading their team to two
consecutive Class AAA state championships for DuPont High School;
and
Whereas, The athletic ability of the 1993 DuPont High School
football team, coupled with the outstanding sportsmanship of each
member of the team, has helped to make winning a reality for
DuPont High School; and
Whereas, The DuPont High School football team is supported
by the student body, the faculty and the entire community of
Belle; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the DuPont High School football team is hereby
congratulated for winning the state Class AAA championship forthe second consecutive year; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to head coach Dick Whitman and
J. Patrick Law, principal of DuPont High School.
